Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist born in Britain. She played lead guitar as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all females in the late 1970s. Their punkish music and provocative lyrics helped them get noticed by the rock community. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention on the scene in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career was successful after the 1979 group break-up. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin on the Edge". The albums of Ford were not particularly popular and she went on hiatus for several years. In 1988, Ford returned to the world of music by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both huge success. However, her success was only not long-lasting and, for a few years after, she went under the radar. In 1995, she released "Black," and 15 years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Timecapsule', was released. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend award.
