Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute, and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 1970s. The cost of tuition was covered by a student's stipend, and she worked part-time in order to meet her financial obligations. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skills in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative route she could take. Lennox began her career in 1976 as a musician with the group Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and the year 1980, she was the singer in The Tourists. A British pop group. It was during this time that she became acquainted with Dave Stewart with whom she will form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began working for her debut solo album Diva in 1992. The album was an enormous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. contains a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera is a collection of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox dropped in May 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now I'll Let You go... Her first independent album.
