Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the United States for the past 40 years. Her most well-known role is for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Later, in 1956, she got her first big break on Broadway along with Li'l abner. Her first album, titled It's Time to Tina during the same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama from 1957. This movie was an enormous success and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her relationship and friendship with Lee Strasberg. In 1964, she signed to CBS and played Ginger Grant. Louise maintained a successful career balancing Broadway TV with Hollywood and portraying somber, as opposed to the glamour doll image she received. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she has also made her name as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. Following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever since.
