Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native, born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the role. In fear of stress, her parents were not keen to let the actress pursue acting until turning 18. Perry, who was too shy for acting in high school, started to act at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry was a graduate of Boston University moved into New York in search of acting roles on television. She landed small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness drove her to California for theater roles. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry had the role of a political thriller Scandal alongside her father. She was also cast in the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite having a connection to this persona.
